Sometimes this is due to the original account being marked “hidden”, so that it’s not obvious they are already in the system.
This could happen for a variety of reasons, but one common situation is when a family has been away for a while and then returns, they are mistakenly added a second time, as a new account, rather than having their original account reactivated. There may be cases where you end up with two occurrences of the same family account, for example, Smith (account 1) and Smith (account 2).
